Bike Program

Riding to Self-Sufficiency

When refugees arrive in Arizona, it is often difficult for them to navigate their new community because they do not have a car. Bicycles can help solve this problem. An important tool to accelerate employment, bicycles empower refugees to explore their new communities and enable them to more easily commute to work and school. The Welcome to America Project partners with Phantom Cyclist to repair used bicycles and distribute them to families in our community. We want your help to share more bicycles with more refugees to make a bigger impact. Donate your used bicycle, used pump, or a new helmet.

Donations of bicycles are accepted Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 8 am to 11 am. Additionally, if you have the expertise and know-how to repair bicycles, you can come to our warehouse and pick up bicycles to repair at your house.

For more information on bike donations or participating in bicycle repairs, please email

Also, if you are a refugee or you know someone who is a refugee who needs a bicycle, fill out this google form and we can help share a bicycle.
